About the project

The project origins and objectives

Nectarus team, Cities of Learning partners, and the International Youth Work Trainers Guild creating a good practice example in Europe on how the European Training Strategy (ETS) can be translated into specific actions – a set of modular training courses for trainers.

The training course will contribute to developing the trainer’s digital competences
 
  • To improve proficiency in digital tools and practices used in youth work training context
  • To enhance training skills to work in interactive digital spaces
  • To explore the potential of using emerging digital solutions in training (AI, VR, etc.)
  • To increase understanding of how digital transformation impacts youth work and training

There is no training programme yet. The programme will be based on the specific needs analysis and competence self-assessment of participants who will be selected.

Highlights of this training activity

Aligned to the ETS competence model for trainers – the course objectives and content are aligned with professional competences expected to facilitate learning in international training setting for youth work.

It focuses primarily on the international youth work training context – how to facilitate seminars, training courses, study visits, and other formats of youth workers‘ training mobilities.
 
Certified training – the broad coalition of partners will create opportunities for the course participants to assess, validate and recognise competence development at the international level and in specific countries (if possible).
 
Digital-friendly – the training and competence assessment methodology and activities will include using digital tools and platforms, such as the Trainers Appraisal platform and digital Open Badges.
 
Long-term development opportunity – participants willing to continue to develop their professional trainer competences will be invited to apply for the upcoming training courses on other competence areas.
 
Endorsed by the International Youth Work Trainers Guild, a broad partnership of Cities of Learning members and other national and international organisations from the youth field.

 

Digital credentials and certification

 
This training activity is a unique opportunity for participants to use up-to-date and digital recognition solutions, such as digital Open Badges and https://trainersappraisal.com/ platform. Participants can use the 360-degree competence assessment, earn digital badges, and receive certificates that prove their competence development.

Financial conditions

Accommodation, food and all materials at the project will be covered by the Erasmus+ programme. Travel costs will be reimbursed based on the real costs not exceeding the lump sums based on the travel distance – for Czech Republic the sum is 309 eur/ green travel 417 eur.
There is a
participation fee of 50 eur, which will contribute to the co-funding of the training programme. It will be deducted from the travel reimbursement. In justified cases, participants may request waving the contribution.

The eligible participants

  • are over 18 yo;
  • have a good level of English;
  • are working as trainers locally or internationally, willing to strengthen digital competences;
  • Available to dedicate time for self-assessment of digital competences and one online onboarding group call with organisers;

This course is designed for people starting their trainer career or who are already experienced trainers.
