About the project
The Erasmus+ cross-border project GreenTech Youth Catalyst aims to enhance the quality, innovation, and sustainability of youth work across Europe by building capacities, fostering digital and green skills in young people and youth workers, promoting civic engagement and European citizenship, expanding networks by integrating new actors into the Erasmus+ framework, and strengthening international collaboration.
The youth exchange under the GreenTech Youth Catalyst project gathers 20 young people in Serbia.
In only 7 days you will:
- improve your green competencies
- adopt more sustainable practices in your everyday life
- build a more proactive attitude and participation in civic topics such as environmental protection
- improve your digital skills
- learn a lot about Serbian culture and local community
—> Your will achieve all of the above through engagement in team activities, games, workshops, discussions, and visits to local events.
—> You will also have a great opportunity to visit Vlasina fest, annually held festival for youth, which takes place during your stay at the youth exchange.

The venue & accomodation
Vlasotince is a charming small town in southeastern Serbia, known for its rich winemaking tradition and distinctive Balkan architecture. Historically, it gained importance in the 19th century after liberation from Ottoman rule.
Today, Vlasotince is the heart of a prominent wine region and hosts the annual Wine Festival (Vinski bal), attracting winemakers, artists, and visitors from across Serbia. The locals are renowned for their hospitality and customs centered around wine, celebration, and music. The town also preserves monuments from the socialist era, most notably the memorial to fallen fighters designed by architect Bogdan Bogdanović.
Vlasotince stands as a unique place where tradition and contemporary challenges meet.
Climate
Daytime temperatures in Serbia at the beggining of July are expected to range from 28°C to 30°C. Nights will be cooler, with temperatures between 13°C and 17°C, so be sure to bring appropriate clothing.
Accommodation
You’ll be staying at Hotel Gunjetinac, a cozy hotel, in rooms equipped with two beds and a private bathroom.
The whole floor will be at our disposal, where we will have coffee breaks, snacks, etc.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Vlasotince, it is quiet and welcoming.
The eligible participants
There will be 4 participants + 1 group leader per country.
The ideal participants:
are 16 to 30 years old;
are passionate about sustainability, environmental topics, and improving your green skills;
plan to use what they learn at the exchange and turn it into local actions or projects back home;
are willing to meet new people, explore different cultures and new places;
are open to sharing ideas, experiences, and good practices with other young people from across Europe;
are fully committed to taking part in all activities and helping spread the project’s mission.
Financial conditions
Accommodation, food and all materials at the project will be covered by the Erasmus+ programme. The travel costs for the Czech participants will be covered within the limit of 300 EUR.
Plase note that in case you are selected for the project, you will be asked to pay a membership fee of 900 CZK (or 35 EUR for payments from abroad) – we will use this contribution to cover the compensation for the trip coordinator, the costs of materials and preparation, and the complete support of the participants before, during and after the trip. Instructions for paying the membership fee will be sent to you by e-mail, along with instructions to confirm participation and other steps.
The membership fee also ensures your membership in the Youth Progress organization, free entry to all local activities and is paid annually – if you decide to go on another project with us this calendar year, you will not have to pay it again.
Your participation in the project is fully financed by the ERASMUS+ program. However, the program does not reimburse us, the sending organization, so thank you for helping us continue to provide these great opportunities to young people.
* In case of cancellation of participation by the participant, the contribution is non-refundable.
** In case of cancellation of the project by the organizers or due to force majeure, the contribution will be refunded to the participant’s account.
*** The membership fee may be waived in exceptional cases, e.g. if the participant faces a financial disadvantage, which will be evaluated individually by the sending organization.
