Call for Youth Exchange Words Can Art

24 June – 01 July 2026 (including travel days)

Orta Nova | Italy

About the project

“Words Can Art” is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that will take place in Orta Nova, Italy, from June 24th to July 1st, 2026. The project will bring together young people from different partner countries to explore the impact of digital hyperconnection on mental health, social relationships, and personal well-being through creative and artistic methods.

The project responds to the growing challenges faced by young people in today’s digital society, where excessive use of technology and social media can contribute to isolation, anxiety, digital addiction, and reduced critical thinking skills. “Words Can Art” aims to encourage participants to reflect on their online habits and develop a more conscious and balanced relationship with technology.

Through creative writing and visual arts, participants will engage in workshops, storytelling activities, blackout poetry, cut-up techniques, group discussions, and collaborative exercises designed to promote self-expression, emotional well-being, and creativity. The programme encourages peer learning, intercultural exchange, and active participation, while fostering critical thinking and self-awareness in an inclusive and supportive environment.

By the end of the exchange, participants will gain practical tools for self-expression and mindful digital use, strengthen their creativity and communication skills, and feel empowered to promote healthier and more conscious lifestyles within their local communities. The project also aims to promote social inclusion and create meaningful spaces for young people to connect and share experiences at both local and international levels.
