Call for Youth Exchange Move to Improve

6 – 15 October 2026 (including travel days)

Salento | Italy

About the project

Move to Improve is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange focused on supporting young people’s mental health and well-being through sport, inclusion, and active participation. The project responds to challenges such as stress, anxiety, loneliness, and social pressure, while creating opportunities for young people to feel more connected, confident, and included. Through sport and movement, intercultural exchange, and volunteering, participants will explore how active participation can contribute to emotional resilience, social inclusion, and positive change in their communities.

The programme is based on experiential and non-formal learning rather than traditional lectures. Participants will take part in team-building activities, outdoor games and sport-based challenges, workshops on mental health awareness and stigma reduction, World Café discussions, a volunteering activity focused on beach cleaning, and intercultural evenings. Through these activities, they will develop communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills while sharing experiences with young people from different backgrounds and exploring practical ways to become more active in their communities.

About the accommodation

Participants will be accommodated in double or triple rooms at the project venue, where the activity room will also be located. Towels and bed linen will be provided, and WiFi will be available, although the connection may be limited. The exact hotel details will be shared with selected participants later in the official project group. Three meals per day will be provided and served at the venue.

The eligible participants

There will be 7 participants per country.

The participants need to be:

  • aged 20 – 29 years old (younger participants are not eligible to participate in this mobility)
  • Czech citizen or resident

Financial conditions

Accommodation, food and all materials at the project will be covered by the Erasmus+ programme.  The travel costs for the Czech participants will be covered within the limit of 309 EUR.

Plase note that in case you are selected for the project, you will be asked to pay a membership fee of 900 CZK (or 35 EUR for payments from abroad) – we will use this contribution to cover the compensation for the trip coordinator, the costs of materials and preparation, and the complete support of the participants before, during and after the trip. Instructions for paying the membership fee will be sent to you by e-mail, along with instructions to confirm participation and other steps.
The membership fee also ensures your membership in the Youth Progress organization, free entry to all local activities and is paid annually – if you decide to go on another project with us this calendar year, you will not have to pay it again.
Your participation in the project is fully financed by the ERASMUS+ program. However, the program does not reimburse us, the sending organization, so thank you for helping us continue to provide these great opportunities to young people. 🙂

* In case of cancellation of participation by the participant, the contribution is non-refundable.

** In case of cancellation of the project by the organizers or due to force majeure, the contribution will be refunded to the participant’s account.

*** The membership fee may be waived in exceptional cases, e.g. if the participant faces a financial disadvantage, which will be evaluated individually by the sending organization.
