Camping as an Alternative: Immersion in a Natural Learning Environment

07. – 16.08. 2026 (including travel days)

Novi Bečej, Serbia

About the project

CampINLE (Camping as an Alternative: Immersion in a Natural Learning Environment) is an Erasmus+ professional development activity that will take place in Novi Bečej, Serbia, bringing together 28 youth workers from seven European countries. The project focuses on strengthening the competencies of current and future youth workers in using nature-based and experiential learning methods to support young people’s well-being, personal growth, and connection to the natural environment. In response to growing concerns around youth mental health, disconnection from nature, and the need for innovative educational approaches, CampINLE aims to equip participants with practical tools and methodologies for organising outdoor learning experiences and youth exchanges in nature.

The programme is based on non-formal education and immersive learning in natural settings. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, peer-learning activities, outdoor challenges, reflection sessions, and hands-on experiences that explore the therapeutic benefits of nature, environmental awareness, and multisensory learning. The participants will develop skills they can directly apply in their youth work through sharing practices, testing nature-based methodologies, and experiencing life and learning under tents. The project also promotes intercultural exchange, collaboration, and the creation of a network of youth workers committed to fostering youth well-being, environmental responsibility, and meaningful connections with nature across Europe.

The venue & accommodation
