From November 29 to December 1, Youth Progress team had the opportunity to host the Kick-off Meeting for the GreenTech Youth Catalyst project in Prague. This Erasmus+ cross-border partnership aims to enhance the quality, innovation, and sustainability of youth work across Europe by building capacities, fostering digital and green skills in young people and youth workers, promoting civic engagement and European citizenship, expanding networks by integrating new actors into the Erasmus+ framework, and strengthening international collaboration.
Representatives from our partner organizations, ADRIBS (FR), OmnisFactum (PT), and Impuls (RS) arrived in Prague to establish the processes and methodologies for the project, discuss the upcoming activities and outcomes, present their expectations, analyze the latest local situations and needs, and outline the next steps.
During the meeting, partner representatives shared recent data on their youth work and environmental challenges in their localities, along with their experiences related to the project’s themes. Each partner then introduced methodologies to be applied throughout the project, such as Green Practices, Inclusion Strategy, Assessment Methodology, and Dissemination Plan. Processes and structures to support effective project management were also introduced and discussed.
Later, representatives of ADRIBS presented and piloted a short digital activity designed as an educational tool to be used and developed further during the project. The project team tested the activity, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. This session also helped partners enhance their competencies in using various digital tools.
At the end of the meeting, the team set dates for the next activity in spring, assessed the success of the meeting, and outlined the following steps.
The event concluded with an informal gathering and a tour to explore the local culture, including Old Prague and its beautiful Christmas markets. The Kick-off Meeting exceeded expectations, and we look forward to seeing the partnerships and project evolve in the coming months.🙂
