WHAT TO EXPECT?

Each free online session in English will bring together powerful voices from across the world — representatives of initiatives that contribute to non-formal education in the sector of sustainability and fashion, civic participation, and innovation.

You will hear how different initiatives across the globe are turning frustration into ideas and ideas into impact.

SPEAKERS AND TOPICS:

Part 1 (19 June):

The first webinar will cover various ways of applying non-formal education in slow fashion – EU projects and youth work, clothing swaps, and a focus on innovation in consumer behaviour. including a presentation of a clothing brand that promotes consumer responsibility and works with community engagement.

  • Youth Progress: How do international non-formal education projects help exchange good practices and engage young people across Europe? And how can you initiate your own project?
  • Swap Prague: See how clothing swaps and education go hand-in-hand to change consumer habits and engage masses.
  • Witral (Chile): Sustainable fashion as a tool to community development in rural areas

Part 2 (26 June):

  • Fashion Revolution Czech Republic: Bridging formal and non-formal – case studies from past projects by Fashion Revolution Czech Republic
  • Fashion Revolution Brasil: Insights from the Fashion Revolution Brasil Decolonial Fashion School and the Importance of decolonizing fashion education
  • Zelena Akcija (Croatia): To be further specified.
  • Na Zemi: Transformative education

We’ll be announcing all the speakers in the coming days on our social media — follow the Facebook event to be the first to discover who’s joining and what they’re bringing to the table.

The online events are a great chance to connect, get inspired, and become part of a community committed to sustainable fashion and youth empowerment across Europe.

The webinars are being organized as part of the Erasmus+ mobility project Wear the Future, which aims to raise awareness about ethical fashion, the circular economy, and sustainability. It seeks to equip youth workers and educators across Europe with tools to fight overconsumption and educate young people about the harmful impact of so-called “affordable” fast fashion.

Wear the Future project is organized by the Youth Progress association in cooperation with Fashion Revolution Czech Republic and is co-funded by the European Union.
