The project Peace in Action is an Erasmus+ Training Course for youth workers that will take place from 1–8 May 2026 in Kemer, Turkey, under the framework of Erasmus+. It brings together youth workers from different European countries to strengthen their role as peacebuilders in their local communities. At a time when many young people experience polarisation, hate speech, discrimination, and social tensions – both online and offline. This training course aims to equip participants with practical tools to facilitate dialogue, prevent conflicts, and promote inclusion. Instead of avoiding difficult conversations, youth workers will learn how to approach them safely, confidently, and constructively.
The programme is based on non-formal education and experiential learning. Participants will engage in team-building and intercultural activities, workshops on peace education, human rights and conflict transformation, as well as role plays and mediation simulations. The training will also include sport-for-peace activities and interactive “Peace Labs”, where participants will design and test their own workshops and methods. By the end of the mobility, youth workers will have strengthened their competences in non-violent communication, mediation, and inclusive youth work, while also becoming part of a growing European network committed to dialogue, resilience, and shared values.
Kemer is a coastal town in southern Turkey where the mobility will take place. It is located about 1–1.5 hours from Antalya and is easily accessible from Antalya Airport. The town lies between the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountains, offering a scenic natural setting.
Participants will be accommodated in double or triple rooms at the project venue in Kemer. Towels and bed linen will be provided, and all sessions will take place in the same venue, ensuring a comfortable and focused learning environment without the need for daily commuting.
Three meals per day will be served at the venue, and participants will be asked to indicate any dietary requirements or allergies in advance. WiFi will be available.
There will be 4 participants per country
Accommodation, food and all materials at the project will be covered by the Erasmus+ programme. The travel costs for the Czech participants will be covered within the limit of 285 EUR (use of green travel is mandatory).
Plase note that in case you are selected for the project, you will be asked to pay a membership fee of 900 CZK (or 35 EUR for payments from abroad) – we will use this contribution to cover the compensation for the trip coordinator, the costs of materials and preparation, and the complete support of the participants before, during and after the trip. Instructions for paying the membership fee will be sent to you by e-mail, along with instructions to confirm participation and other steps.
The membership fee also ensures your membership in the Youth Progress organization, free entry to all local activities and is paid annually – if you decide to go on another project with us this calendar year, you will not have to pay it again.
Your participation in the project is fully financed by the ERASMUS+ program. However, the program does not reimburse us, the sending organization, so thank you for helping us continue to provide these great opportunities to young people.
* In case of cancellation of participation by the participant, the contribution is non-refundable.
** In case of cancellation of the project by the organizers or due to force majeure, the contribution will be refunded to the participant’s account.
*** The membership fee may be waived in exceptional cases, e.g. if the participant faces a financial disadvantage, which will be evaluated individually by the sending organization.
